Alpine announces the appointment of Olivier Guintrand as VP, Alpine Cars Engineering, effective 1 October 2024.

As a member of the Brand Management Committee and Product Engineering Management Committee, he will report directly to Alpine CEO and Renault Group’s Chief Technology Officer Philippe Krief.

With a 35-year career in the automotive industry, including 30 years with the Renault Group, Olivier Guintrand will be responsible for meeting the technological and industrial challenges facing the Alpine brand as it rolls out its 100% electric “Dream Garage”.

A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA), Olivier Guintrand has 35 years of experience in the automotive industry, including 30 years with the Renault Group, mainly in Product Engineering. He has been involved for almost ten years in developing the Group’s iconic sports cars, such as the Mégane IV RS and the iconic Alpine A110, within the Premium Sports Engineering Division of Renault Sport Cars, now Alpine Cars. In his new role, Olivier Guintrand will be vital in expanding the Alpine range and moving the brand towards 100% electric models.

“Olivier Guintrand is a renowned engineer, a perfect connoisseur of the Group and its teams, and a car enthusiast. His qualities and experience in the sports car segment will enable him to take up, alongside me, the industrial challenge of deploying our 100% electric Dream Garage and thus continue to write the Alpine brand’s history. His appointment is a fundamental step in our 2030 strategy”, declares Philippe Krief, Renault Group Chief Technology Officer and Alpine CEO.
